The record

Bonhams records YDU 600S, chassis 941-20791-C, as a six-cylinder Series III converted to fire-tender specification by Carmichael. It formerly served Unipart and was acquired by the museum in 1993. The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust offered it at Gaydon on 29 June 2003, as a non-running restoration project without documents.

The game model follows the auction photograph's bespoke sloping cab, single broad windscreen, sliding side glazing, white stripe edged in blue, silver locker shutters, blue beacon and empty roof ladder supports. Rear details not shown by that photograph are a restrained interpretation, rather than a documented restoration specification.

AI rendering impression

An AI rendering impression starts from a 3D model of this vehicle, which an image model then paints into a scene. It is an artist's impression of the type, made to give a feel for the vehicle in its element — not a photograph, and not a record of any particular vehicle.

Proportions, fittings, markings, colours and the setting can all drift from the original in the process. For the vehicle's actual details, rely on the specification, the photographs and the cited sources on this page.
