Description
The forged steel lifting and lashing ring bolted to the front and rear chassis dumb-irons of military Land Rovers, named for the Joint Air Transport Establishment, allowing the vehicle to be slung under a helicopter or lashed in an aircraft; on civilian Defenders it replaces the shipping eyes as a recovery point.
Coil-sprung chassis; Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic share the fitting.
