Description
Ricardo's conversion kit that turns a Land Rover Wolf 110 (TUM HS) into an open-topped fire-support and reconnaissance vehicle: a roll cage with a rear 360-degree ring mount for a .50 HMG, 40 mm GMG or GPMG, a forward pintle GPMG in front of the commander's seat, height-adjustable commander's seat, bonnet and tailgate stowage baskets and removable windscreen and weather hood. Developed from the Ricardo/Land Rover Cobra concept, first British deliveries 1998, with Enhanced (2006), Re-lifed (2008) and R-WMIK+ (2010) upgrades adding armour and mine protection.
Fitted to the Wolf 110 TUM HS; Dutch Marines version used a scissors mount instead of the ring, Italian and Lithuanian versions on Defender 110
Rarity. Several hundred Wolf 110s converted for the British Army plus batches for the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps (2001), Italian Carabinieri and Lithuanian SOF; R-WMIK+ vehicles have been disposed of through DESA and dealers (Withams, L Jackson, Brightwells lot est. GBP 20-25k in 2023) so complete vehicles surface regularly; loose kits do not.
Record: 7 sources; designation recorded; no price recorded.
