The record
Reddingsbrigade Nederland is the Dutch lifeguard federation, its local brigades patrolling the North Sea beaches and inland waters through the summer and turning out year-round for flood and water rescue. Defender 110 station wagons in the brigades' orange were the standard beach patrol vehicle for years, carrying a crew, rescue boards and a towed rescue boat over soft sand, and they wear the national emergency-service scheme of diagonal blue and white striping on the front doors and wings with the brigade's RB callsign on the body.
The Flickr photograph shows RB 170 on the road in October 2014: orange Defender 110 station wagon with the striping across the front wings and doors, RB170 on the rear body sides, REDDINGSBRIGADE on the rear doors, a blue light bar on the roof front with the callsign mirror-written on it, an amber beacon on a mast at the rear of the roof, a black bull bar carrying spot lamps and small red and blue lamps, yellow Dutch plates and white steel wheels. The registry model reproduces that vehicle.
