Description
Two-stage snow miller and centrifuge on a two-wheeled trailer that docks to the back of a specially converted 88in Land Rover: the vehicle's PTO drives the two 2 ft 9 in cutting rotors and two 20 in ejector turbines mechanically, while a Lucas IP500 hydrostatic pump and radial motor creep the road wheels at 0-7.5 mph from a duplicate rear-facing steering wheel and swivel seat. Clears a 6 ft 7 in path up to 3 ft deep at 300 tons an hour, throwing snow 27-30 ft, with the engine governed at 3,600 rpm.
Only on Land Rovers converted in Rolba's works; demonstrator 9565 WD
Rarity. Required a Land Rover extensively converted in Rolba's own works with hydrostatic drive and duplicate steering; only the 1963 leaflet and demonstrator 9565 WD are known from this research.
